Rock Climbing- Child

A paradise for the outdoors person, Washington State boasts some of the best rock climbing in the country. Less than an hours drive from Seattle and you are in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains with access to a diverse range of rock climbing routes. To get to the wall, we take a stunning hike through lush temperate forest past waterfalls and big trees. From the climbing platform you will be on the historic former Milwaukee Road rail bed now converted to a bicycle and walking trail. Views up the Snoqualmie Valley will be reward enough for making this journey.

The goal of today’s trip is to learn the basics of participating in this support. Attention will be given not only to learning climbing techniques, but also explanation and use of all the safety equipment. The Cascade Mountains have an exciting history and you’ll get up close and personal with the rock that supports the spine separating Eastern and Western Washington. Whether you choose to climb one foot off the ground or thirty feet, no worries, you will be securely attached with advanced equipment so a fall will only result in a couple feet dangle until either you continue on or get lowered back to the ground. This is the perfect setting to explore a new sport or get additional time on a rope in an amazing setting.
